Savings = Bill Credits – US Solar Payments
Estimated Savings are based on the difference between the expected Bill Credits* that the Utility will apply to your electric bill, and the Payment that you will make to US Solar. These estimates are based on the savings subscribers are expected to receive by participating in a US Solar Solar Garden. US Solar is responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the Solar Garden for 25 years. *These estimates assume Utility rates will increase by 2.5% annually, which is below the historical average (Xcel rates increased an average of 3.5% per year from 200-2014). This means that if the utility rates increase as much as they have in the recent past, you can save even more money than we estimate here. See how it works in the Annual Savings Example below. |

This is only an example, and is based on the 2017 Enhanced Applicable Retail Rate (ARR) structure for MN residential customers under the Solar Rewards Community program. Actual savings are subject to a number of factors, including actual solar production, utility electricity rates, and Sunscription Agreement terms.

It is associated with US Solar and its services, such as: allowing customers to subscribe to solar energy through community solar programs, purchase renewable energy credits produced by solar equipment; allowing customers to purchase renewable energy as part of a competitive retail energy market; and providing utility bill management services including tracking, reporting, analyzing and delivering energy information in the form of utility bills and utility meter data rate schedules.
