US Solar is a developer, owner, operator, and financier of solar projects with a focus on emerging markets and community solar programs. Based in Minneapolis, this is a unique opportunity within a small, high-growth company to help residents reduce electricity costs with local, renewable energy.
What is Community Solar?
Don’t worry – you don’t have to be an expert in community solar to apply. US Solar puts 4,000 solar panels in a field, producing local, renewable energy. Individual homes can “subscribe” to that community project, even if it is many miles away. Those residential subscribers will receive a monthly bill credit (e.g. $100) from their electric utility, and pay US Solar a monthly subscription fee (e.g. $90). So, individuals can go solar and save money for no upfront cost and no equipment on their property.
A successful Sales Support Associate will use communication, problem-solving, relationship-building, and organization skills to support new subscription initiatives and existing subscriber operations. Working collaboratively with the Manager of the Residential Program, the Sales Support Associate will help the team achieve its sales goals, minimize hiccups and delays in the process, and provide a positive representation of US Solar to residents participating in the community solar program.
Additionally, US Solar seeks personnel who are motivated, flexible, and responsible, and who would like to be part of a hard-working, good-humored team of individuals.
